Description: Eleanor came from a rescue group located in PA. We adopted her in November. I wanted a German Shepherd mix badly and couldnt pass up the litter I saw on PetFinder. I stupidly thought that since she looked the least husky-ish of the bunch they were GSD husky/collie mix that she would be calmer and less intense. Well let me tell, Eleanor thinks shes pretty hot stuff and never lets you forget it. Ahh... I am reliving the joys of having a puppy all over again... Eleanor style. Every morning Eleanor gets up at 630AM and nuzzles my face all cute and innocent-like until we go out for a potty. Then the adventure begins. Chase the 17-year-old cats out of their cozy bed? No problem Eleanor is on the case Those kitty-cat vermin dont stand a chance she thinks. Dum-da-da-DA-ta-DA as she careens across the dining room. I scream at her and threaten her with time in the crate and then the sassing begins. Those husky genes in her are well expressed. Roo-roo-roo this and yip-yip-yip that. See that long tongue in the photo? Need I say more for her expressive yacking. Her conversations with myself and herself are too cute to describe. Eleanor is also a master at digging... just not in the dirt. I give her milkbone biscuits once in a while and graham crackers if she goes potty quick and doesnt lolly-gag. I was looking for the TV remote a couple of days ago and found two biscuits, a half a graham cracker, a shank bone, and a nylabone neatly tucked away in between the couch cushions with another biscuit buried in the afghan throw. Her master-planning is both devious and endearing. She definately has a mind of her own but still runs to her mommy if the other dogs in the park are picking on the wee little puppy. I love this about her most. This particular picture perfectly captures her gregarious nature in the most adorable expression shes ever made.
